ALX Oncology Holdings Inc. is a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company. The Company is focused on helping patients fight cancer by developing a pipeline of product candidates based on protein engineering and oncology led by the cluster of differentiation 47 (CD47) blocker. It is developing a checkpoint inhibitor designed to have an affinity for CD47 and to avoid the limitations caused by hematologic toxicities inherent in other CD47 blocking approaches. Its lead product candidate, evorpacept, is a CD47 blocking biologic in development as a combination therapy with other anti-cancer agents for treatment of various oncology indications, including myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC), gastric and breast cancer. The Company’s preclinical program is focused on developing ALTA-002, which combines its signal regulatory protein alpha (SIRPa) and toll-like receptor 9 agonist antibody conjugate (TRAAC).
