Nuveen S&P 500 Buy-Write Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to seek attractive total return with less volatility than the S&P 500 Index. Under normal circumstances, the Fund will invest at least 80% of its Assets in a diversified equity portfolio made up of securities comprising the S&P 500 Index or securities that have economic characteristics that are similar to those securities comprising the S&P 500 Index, that seeks to substantially replicate price movements of the S&P 500 Index and is designed to support the Fund’s option strategy. Under normal circumstances, the Fund expects to invest substantially all (at least 90%) of its managed assets in its equity portfolio or otherwise in pursuit of its investment objective. The Funds' investment advisor is Nuveen Fund Advisors, LLC. Gateway Investment Advisers, LLC is the sub advisor of the Fund.
