Pioneer High Income Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The investment objective of the Fund is to provide a high level of current income and the Fund may, as a secondary objective, also seek capital appreciation to the extent that it is consistent with its investment objective. The Fund invest in insurance-linked securities. The Fund may invest up to 50% of its total assets in illiquid securities. It invests in various sectors, including airlines, auto parts and equipment, human resources, oil-field services, chemicals, oil, gas and consumable fuels, entertainment, Internet, banks, biotechnology, commercial services and pharmaceuticals.
